About

My name is Betty and I am embarking on a new phase of my life – RETIREMENT! I’m not really old enough for retirement, am I? What am I going to do now that I am retired? The possibilites are endless, and there is sure to be days filled with excitement as well as days that are just regular, ordinary days.

My husband and I have been married for 37 years, and we have two grown sons. The oldest is a meteorologist and the youngest is in the Navy. We also have three wonderful grandchildren that we see as much as possible considering it’s an 8 hour drive in order to visit.

During my teaching career I taught Music (K-6th gr.), 1st grade classroom, 5th grade classroom, and 7th grade English. I am fortunate to have been blessed with the opportunity to teach in some wonderful schools.

As you can see, I am not only a teacher, but also a wife, mother and grandmother (as well as a BIG St. Louis Cardinal fan!). I have a strong faith in God and can see how He has worked in my life in wondrous ways. I know that He still has a purpose for me, and I will discover that purpose as I seek His will during my journey down this new road called “retirement.”
